Mijin Kim, Ph.D.

Principal Investigator

I am an assistant professor at Georgia Tech in the School of Chemistry & Biochemistry.

In graduate school, I studied exciton photophysics of low dimensional nanomaterials – in the Wang lab at the University of Maryland - College Park. For the postdoc training, I moved into biomedical science to develop nanosensors to improve cancer research in the Heller lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I am so excited to work with my amazing team soon!

Join the lab!

We are actively recruiting passionate, curious, and kind scientists at all levels. We’re building something exciting, and we care a lot about cultivating a culture of collaboration, good mentorship, and having fun doing science.

Graduate students & Postdocs with chemistry, material, and biological engineering are preferred.

We also welcome local undergraduates and high school interns who are interested in working on computational or experimental projects. Currently, we are seeking an undergrad intern who can work on Matlab coding and optics configuration for bioinstrumentation.

Please send your CV and contact information to Prof. Kim if you are interested in joining our lab!
